A sounder approach to city living
If you are purchasing, designing or renovating a city apartment or want to reduce sound in your present apartment, CitySounds2 - Acoustic Design Resource can help. Using web design and audio software to create a virtual CBD living space, the program lets you hear real sounds of Melbourne, and learn ways to reduce noise entering into your home. CitySounds2 has been designed to assist residents and industry by providing information on acoustic design in an accessible, interactive format. CitySounds2 is the first interactive Acoustic Design Resource to be developed in Australia. For architects and developers, CitySounds2 provides technical design and construction information to help reduce sound levels in new apartments and increase investment value. CitySounds2 was developed through a partnership between the City of Melbourne and RMIT University’s Spatial Information Architecture Laboratory (SIAL). For further enquiries about the production of the resource, please contact lawrence.harvey@rmit.edu.au Access CitySounds2 here For more information on CitySounds2 please see the project features section |
