Concerts ARC Teimu City Sounds 2.0 City Sounds 1.0 Sound Installations ARC Project – The Spatial Ensemble Urban Soundscape Project Recently funded projects
Auditory City for the City of Melbourne Arts and Culture Branch – 2007 A pilot series of three lunch concerts in the Melbourne CBD. Each concert explores are a unique settings and musical repertoire Concert 1 : organ, live processing and spatial sound diffusion system in Melbourne Town Hall. Concert 2 : clarinet, live processing, tape and spatial sound diffusion system in a Fullham Lane. Concert 3 : electronics and soundscape system, Northbank. Current and new researchers from the Studios will participate in research streams of the Design Institute Customising Space : concert and performance research Intervention through Art : an investigation of urban soundscape systems and designs in the Melbourne CBD Communication Interfaces and Digital Artefacts : a sound design archive and audio for the affective atlas
Urban Interior funded by the School Research Committee, School of Architecture and Design, RMIT University – 2007 Urban Interior (UI) positions its research on the relation between people and the urban condition, hence the word 'interior’ where interior is to be understood not as built fabric so much as a person's relation to and hence inhabitation of urban environment. UI addresses the material, sensory, physiological, cultural experiential dimensions which create and affect social relations.
RMIT University: Early Career Researcher Grant Australian Academy of the Humanities: Travelling Fellowship Australian Network for Art and Technology: Professional Development Grant – 2008 Dr Michael Fowler, ARC Post-Doctoral Research Fellow has recently been awarded these grants for his research.
